Real Market Transparency is a MUST!
On a thinly traded market, Foreign outflows have not been convinced to re enter the PH stock market at this time. After the recent high marked at 9078 it has been a considerable down hill trend marked at 8379 low for the local market. Of course with a few relief price recovery for the PSEI made in the recent trading days from a 'Last Minute Rally' after the pm market intervention while the underlying stocks gets stuck at the bottom of the barrel. As there is no sign of fresh inflows from Foreign investors. Where local bargain hunters NOT sufficient to raise the bar of trading on the #PSEI and their respective stock components.
From a High @9078 to a Low @8379 respectively
What's behind these moves? And how main street PH investors including retail traders navigate through these types of market conditions.

It's already March 14, 2018 and the PSEI have recently moved to a new round of lower prices marked at 8284. February's HI/LO range have garnered close to a -745 index points from a record high at 9078 to its first low at 8333.
ReplyDeleteAs of March 14, 2018, regional declines were prominent following US equities which were attributed to the changing of the guards as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have been taken out from his post by President Trump.
It has been observed that the recent declines in the US market had weigh heavy on local PH stock market trading reactions more than the relative upward movements. As more Foreign outflows have dominated the local bourse into its present state.
Main street investors and traders refusing to adapt to these unfortunate circumstances of declining stock prices and a slow yet creeping PH Peso depreciation would meet 'unwarranted trading catastrophe'.
Exactly one month from this cautionary market call. Watching is alright but it would far wiser and much better to do what is right rather than slowly seeing a depreciating VALUE from the stock prices and Philippine Peso. 'A DOUBLE WHAMMY' so to speak!
ReplyDeleteThis why we have continuously repeated these phrases hopefully would be a wake up call from passive investors tolerance levels.
